I first began making photos in 2004 at the age of 18. my goal was to shoot cd covers and spreads for magazines. i wanted to shoot hip hop artists and actors. so i got to work on meeting those goals. after a couple of months of networking i was able to begin working commercially. i was proving to my family and friends that i could make it as a professional photographer. some of my peers took inspiration from my hard work, others admired it, and there were those who envied me and told me i couldn't do it. i continued pursuing my goals and tried finding my identity within my work and in my everyday life.
now 5 years later i am at the point where i have shot cd covers, i have been on assignment for magazines, i have traveled across the world with my camera as my ticket. i've achieved phase one and as i continue to grow and search for my identity i have reprioritized my goals and am dedicated to using the privileges i have been granted and my talent to make this world a better place. i've reconsidered what success really means. i invite you to do the same because we are only given one chance to make the lives of those around us and those who come after us better.
